Privacy Policy

The short version: PourIQ is a business tool. We store the account and bar data you enter so the app works for your team. We do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, and each bar's data is kept separate from every other bar's. Photos you scan are sent to our AI provider to read the label or invoice, and are not used to train anyone's models. If your bar texts its team their shifts, that runs on a phone number a manager entered and a consent box that starts switched off — and replying STOP ends it.

Who we are

What we collect

Account info — your name, email address and a securely hashed password, plus the bar (workspace) you belong to and your role in it. Staff who join with a bar code are identified by that code and the name they enter.
Your bar's business records — the things you put into the app: items and prices, counts, pours and recipes, invoices, orders, sales figures, specials and menu content.
Photos you choose to scan — bottle labels and supplier invoices you photograph so the app can read them.
A mobile number, if a manager enters one — held only so the bar can text that person their shifts, and only used for that if they have said yes. See Phone numbers and text messages below.
Feedback you send us in the app.
A session cookie so you stay signed in on your device.

We do not collect your location, contacts, or the contents of your device, and PourIQ contains no advertising and no advertising identifiers.

How photos and AI are used

When you scan a bottle or an invoice, that image is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic's Claude API) purely to extract the text and details — brand, size, quantities, prices — and return them to your workspace. The extracted data is saved to your bar's records. The images are processed to complete that request and are not used to train models.

Phone numbers and text messages

Bars using Lineup — PourIQ's staff scheduling — can text their team when a schedule is published. Texting people their shifts is the only reason PourIQ ever holds a phone number.

Where the number comes from. A manager types it into the staff screen when they set the schedule up. Staff do not enter it themselves, and the app never reads a phone's contacts, call log or dialler — it has no access to any of them.
Consent is opt-in and starts off. Beside the number is a separate box a manager ticks only if that person said yes to texts. It is off by default, it is recorded per person, and no part of the app can text somebody who has not opted in. A number without consent gets an email instead, or nothing at all if we have no address for them.
What gets sent. One message when a schedule is published and that person's own week changed, carrying what changed and their private schedule link. Nothing is sent to somebody whose week did not change, nothing is sent per edit, and we do not send marketing texts.
STOP and HELP work. Reply STOP — or UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT — and the consent is cleared immediately and the texts stop. Because an opt-out belongs to the phone rather than to one employer, it applies to every bar on PourIQ holding that number. START turns them back on and HELP replies with who we are and where to get help. Message and data rates may apply.
Who carries the message. Texts are delivered by Twilio, our SMS provider. Twilio receives the destination number and the message purely to deliver it, as a processor for us on the same footing as the providers below.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data and we never share it with other bars. We use a small number of service providers to run the product: cloud hosting and database (Vercel and Neon), the AI provider above for scanning, an email provider for account emails such as password resets, and an SMS provider (Twilio) for the shift texts described above. They process data only to provide those services to us. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

Keeping bars separate

Every record belongs to one workspace. Requests are checked against your session and your bar before any data is returned, so your team sees your bar's numbers and nobody else's. Staff devices that join with a bar code get a limited view and do not see cost or margin figures unless an owner gives them that access.

How long we keep it

Your bar's data is kept for as long as the workspace is active, because the app's whole job is to compare this week to last. An owner can delete the whole workspace from Settings → Danger zone in the app, and we also delete its records on request.

A staff member's own details are on a shorter clock, because they belong to a person rather than to the bar. Once a bar has removed somebody from its team, their password is destroyed at 90 days, and their phone number, their text consent and their email address are cleared within a year — sooner if the account was already idle, because the clock runs from their last activity rather than from the day they left. After that they cannot be signed in as, emailed or texted. What stays is the record of which shifts they worked, which employment law requires the bar to keep.

Your choices and rights

Edit or delete items, counts, invoices and recipes yourself, any time, inside the app.
Delete everything yourself: an owner can permanently delete the workspace — items, counts, sales, team logins, all of it — from Settings → Danger zone in the app. No email needed, and it takes effect immediately.
Or ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or full deletion of your account and workspace by emailing rockpros@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days.
Stop the texts: reply STOP to any text from PourIQ. It takes effect immediately, needs no account and no email, and applies to every bar on PourIQ holding that number. A manager can also untick the consent box, or clear the number, on the staff screen.
Owners can remove a staff member's access from the Team screen.

Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you these rights explicitly. We honour them for everyone, and we do not sell personal information under any definition.

Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), passwords are stored hashed — never in plain text — and sessions are signed so a cookie can't be forged. No system is perfect, so please use a strong password and tell us right away if you think an account has been compromised.

Children

PourIQ is a workplace tool for licensed bars and restaurants. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes we will post the new version here with a new date, and note significant changes in the app — and in the app store disclosures we publish (such as the Google Play Data safety section and the App Store privacy label) — before they take effect.
